Where is Nash Yarn Fest going to be held?

The inaugural year of Nash Yarn Fest will be held at the historic Fairgrounds Nashville. Check out our venue page for more information.

What are the hours of the event?

The main event will be on Saturday, March 15, from 10 AM–5 PM. 

Planning is underway for additional special events, including an opening night ticketed event on Friday, March 14, 2025. We’ll announce ticket sales for general admission, classes, and events on the NYF website. The best way to stay current on all things Nash Yarn Fest is to sign up to our email list.

Will tickets be sold at the door? 

We will have a limited number of tickets available for sale on the day of the event. To avoid disappointment, purchase tickets online as soon as they go on sale.

Is the venue wheelchair accessible?

Every effort will be made to give guests with disabilities the opportunity to participate and enjoy all aspects of the Fairgrounds Nashville. Handicap parking spaces are available and all vehicles with a State-issued placard or plate can park free of charge. For specific question regarding accessibility, please contact ashley@nashyarnfest.com.

What is the parking situation? 

Current onsite parking capacity is approximately 3500 cars, which services all events on campus. Parking costs $10 per vehicle, per day. Vehicles with State-issued disabled placards or plates will be admitted with no fee.

Are pets allowed inside the venue?

No animals or pets are permitted in Fairgrounds’ buildings with the exception of service animals as regulated by applicable state and federal law.

What is the Covid policy?

Nash Yarn Fest will follow CDC guidelines that are in effect at the time of the event. 

Will there be food and drinks available?

Yes, we plan to have a variety of local food and beverages for sale.

Will there be classes?

Yes! Watch this space, we will announce classes as soon as we can.

Who is Modern Daily Knitting?

Founded by two passionate knitters, Ann Shayne and Kay Gardiner, Modern Daily Knitting (MDK) is a small business that does big things in the knitting world. Everything that we do is guided by one simple question: what would be fun for knitters? Answering that question has kept us busy for more than 20 years. Nash Yarn Fest is the realization of a dream we’ve had for a very long time for a bighearted gathering of knitters in our exciting and ever changing hometown, Nashville. 

First and foremost, MDK is a daily online magazine for knitters, with a readership of hundreds of thousands of knitters all over the United States and the world. We publish something new for knitters every day of the year, featuring the sparkliest writers and designers. (Take a look at our Contributors page.) 

MDK also publishes a series of small, delicious books called the MDK Field Guides, a showcase for excellence and imagination in knitwear design. MDK has a vibrant online shop, and hosts incredible workshops and retreats, at our headquarters in Nashville, online and elsewhere. All knitters are welcome in the MDK community, where there is never a shortage of inspiration, support, or joy.
