Nash Yarn Fest Getaway: April 16-20, 2026
Join us for our second annual Nash Yarn Fest Getaway, organized by Patti Odinak of Yarn Culture.
NASH YARN FEST
Get ready for another unforgettable fiber-filled weekend in Music City! Following the huge success of our first year, Nash Yarn Fest is back—and better than ever—with two full days of yarn, inspiration, and community.
Hosted by MDK co-founders Ann Shayne and Kay Gardiner, Nash Yarn Fest is their long-held dream come to life: a joyful gathering of knitters, crocheters, and makers in their beloved hometown of Nashville.
This vibrant festival celebrates everything we love about the fiber arts. Set at the Nashville Fairgrounds, the weekend includes:
- An expertly curated Marketplace featuring 95+ indie dyers, yarn shops, and fiber artists from across the country
- New this year! Intimate talks with four incredible makers—step away from the crowds and dive deep into creativity
- Friday Night Hootenanny! A new tradition kicks off with live music, line dancing, and a chance to mix and mingle with vendors and fellow festival-goers
- A welcoming, inclusive space to connect, create, and celebrate the community we all love
Nash Yarn Fest Getaway travelers receive the VIP treatment, including:
- ️ Tickets to all festival events
- ️ Early access to the Marketplace before it opens to the public
- Daily transportation between the hotel and the festival entrance for maximum ease and comfort
Whether you’re here to shop, connect, or just soak in the energy, Nash Yarn Fest is more than a marketplace—it’s a celebration of creativity, camaraderie, and color.
Last year, attendees came from 40 U.S. states, Canada, and the UK, and enjoyed an epic weekend filled with special guests, a show-stopping fashion show, and live performances that brought down the house.
Just wait until you see what’s coming in 2026.
THE EXPERIENCE
Join us for a fun-filled weekend in Nashville—one of the hottest destinations in the country and the beloved home of Modern Daily Knitting.
On Thursday, arrive in Nashville and check in to the Fairlane Hotel, your downtown home for the weekend. Once you’ve had a chance to settle in, we’ll officially kick things off with a late afternoon private Welcome Reception at Modern Daily Knitting Headquarters. You’ll meet fellow travelers and MDK co-founders Ann Shayne and Kay Gardiner, tour their creative workspace, and enjoy access to their charming retail shop.
As Getaway Travelers, it’s like you have a “golden ticket" to the festival—an exclusive, all-access pass including early entry to both days of the Nash Yarn Fest Marketplace, all four Saturday talks, and the Friday night Hootenanny—events that are sold separately to the public. At the welcome reception, we can answer any questions you might have about events and activities so you can plan accordingly. You’ll also receive your weekend itinerary, bus schedules, and other goodies. Most of all, you’ll enjoy a relaxed evening of connection and anticipation.
Start the day on Friday with a private breakfast and casual Sit & Stitch session before boarding our private coach to the Nashville Fairgrounds. Spend the day exploring vendor booths, attending demos, and savoring food truck treats—with even a few fiber animals in attendance! Need a break? In the evening, enjoy the lively Nash Yarn Fest Hootenanny, a festive celebration with live bluegrass, line dancing, and vendor mingling right at the Fairgrounds.
On Saturday, after breakfast, we return to the festival for another exciting day at the Nash Yarn Fest to enjoy a second day of Marketplace as well as four intimate talks with special guests.
No trip to Nashville can be deemed complete without a chance to hear a show at the Grand Ole Opry and your chance will come Saturday night. The schedule hasn't been published yet, but your ticket is already reserved for this "must do" experience.
Sunday is yours to shape. Want a slower morning? Sleep in, brunch with friends, or head out on your own. We'll have a bus booked for the day with pickup/drop off options at sites including The Ryman, The Country Music Hall of Fame, National Museum of African-American Music, The Frist Art Museum and more. Or opt for an Optional Pontoon Saloon Cruise for a scenic, relaxing ride. In the evening, we’ll gather one last time for a farewell dinner at one of Nashville’s top restaurants, followed by a final night of Sit & Stitch in the hotel lobby bar.
On Monday, enjoy a leisurely breakfast at the hotel café using a breakfast voucher at the hotel café before heading out. Or if you’re not quite ready to leave, join us for an Optional Bonus Day that includes a custom-themed tour and tickets to see The Time Jumpers, a standout highlight from last year’s trip. More information on this extra day will be provided once registration for the core trip closes.
Whether you're heading home or staying one more night, we hope you’ll leave inspired, connected, and already dreaming of next year.
THE STAY
This year, our Nash Yarn Fest Getaway guests will enjoy a four-night stay at the Fairlane Hotel, a stylish 81-room boutique property nestled in the heart of downtown Nashville’s business and arts district—just a short stroll from Broadway, the Ryman, and other city highlights.
Housed in a striking 12-story modernist building from 1972, the Fairlane blends mid-century design—think terrazzo floors, brass accents, and wood paneling—with modern-day comforts and hospitality.
Spacious and thoughtfully appointed, King rooms include:
- Pillowtop beds
- Flat-screen TVs
- Minibars
- In-room safes
- Plush bathrobes
- Complimentary Wi‑Fi
- Bottled water refreshed daily
We know parking in Nashville can be pricey, so we’ve arranged discounted valet parking at just $30 per night exclusively for our guests.
Daily Breakfast & Stitching Time
Each morning begins with a private, catered breakfast in Ellington’s Restaurant & Bar, located on the hotel’s 4th floor. On relaxed mornings, you’re welcome to linger over coffee, knit, and chat with fellow travelers.
For your final morning:
- Use your $25 breakfast credit at the Union Teller Diner & Café for a casual, on-your-own option
- Or join us for an optional hosted breakfast at Monell’s, featuring a hearty Southern-style spread in a lively communal setting
Evenings at the Fairlane
In the evenings, gather in the spacious, stylish lobby for a nightcap, conversation, and stitching with new friends. And to kick things off right, you’ll be welcomed with a complimentary arrival drink.
The Fairlane offers the perfect balance of comfort, charm, and convenience—making it an ideal home base for our fiber-filled weekend in Nashville.

Together with MDK, we’ve designed a weekend you’re sure to enjoy! With a mix of planned and optional activities, you can make the experience as active or laid back as you want. We’ll be there every step of the way to ensure you have a fantastic time.
